The problem of “green production” for businesses nowadays
In the context of green production, the use of renewable energy sources is being deployed and applied in large enterprises in Vietnam, especially in the fields of manufacturing and business.
On the basis of implementing Vietnam’s commitments at COP26, Vietnam has issued an action plan, set goals and promoted the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and strictly controlled gas emission sources. Large greenhouses, such as industrial production facilities, consume a lot of energy and emit a large amount of greenhouse gasses such as steel, chemicals, paper, textiles, dyeing…
With the motto of investing in modern technological equipment and ensuring environmental factors, Vietnam Pomina Steel Company boldly invested in building the Pomina 3 Factory in Phu My Industrial Park, Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The Pomina 3 Factory is considered as the most modern technology factory in the steel industry of Southeast Asia and is highly ranked in the world with large capacity. Even though factors of quality and international technology are ensured, green standards are still a difficult problem for the Pomina 3 Factory. Therefore, the factory researched and found suitable solutions for renewable energy for manufacturing and consumption.
Deploying solar power solutions at the premises of The Pomina 3 Factory
In November 2020, the Pomina 3 Factory cooperated and signed a contract with 365 Energy to install solar power systems. The solar power project is designed and installed with the following area and capacity:
- Installed capacity: 2.35 MWP
- Annual power output: 3,431,000 kWh
The above numbers are proof of the importance and usefulness that solar power systems provide to organizations and businesses. Besides generating electricity to meet the consumption needs of the Pomina 3 plant, the project also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gasses. It is recorded that the project, when put into operation, helps reduce nearly 3 billion tons of CO2 emissions annually.
